About Our Team

Justine Hallam

Our goal is to give communities a better understanding of dementia.

We support the individual and teach people the importance of embracing the person with dementia. Instead of putting obstacles in the way of that, our interventions and best practice can give the person a better quality of life.

In the future, we would like to go out into the community with dementia workshops, support local people in their own homes and care homes; devise good person centred programmes for the individual and be an advocate for the person with dementia.

We would like to support more jobs in the community, lead a team of dedicated volunteers to befriend their neighbour and give us feedback on any other practices that can be carried out in the community, with a focus on the individual.

Justine Hallam

Holistic Dementia Advocate

My vision for MAE intervention services is to holistically support people living with memory loss and dementia, to live a happier, more meaningful and enriched independent life in the community.

I am a strong advocate for the person centred approach to dementia initiated by Tom Kitwood, and I firmly believe that the person comes first.

At MAE we aim to work with the person, their family and professional bodies to find new and innovative ways to support the person with dementia and also their family and friends.
